Piedmont Animal Rescue exists to Rescue, Rehabilitate, and Rehome as many lost and unwanted pets in the piedmont of North Carolina.
Piedmont Animal Rescue started as an idea in the mind of our Founder and Executive Director Jason Benge.  Jason most recently served as the Dog Coordinator for Humane Society of Iredell, now Lake Norman Humane.  He made his start in the rescue world over 10 years ago as a Cat Foster for the Iredell County Humane Society.  About 2 years ago in 2015 he and is family started fostering dogs for the Humane Society of Iredell and in January of 2016 was asked to become the Dog Coordinator for the organization.  He took this job very seriously and rescued over 500 dogs in 2016.  He was part of a successful team that rescued and rehomed 879 animals in 2016.

In January of 2017, Jason had a vision to and started pursuing his dream of owning his own Animal Welfare Organization and applied for his 501c3 status.  With tons of support form his former team members and fellow rescue workers in the community, his dream is becoming a reality.  We need your help!  Rescue organizations operate with the support of the community.  It takes money, food, supplies, and adopters to operate a succesful rescue.  Would you consider supporting Piedmont Animal Rescue?  Please contact us for more information and we will be happy to discuss all of the donation options with you.

Thank you for all of your support!
